    What does 'Medical Necessity' even mean? This course sheds some light on the illusive term 'Medical Necessity' and offers information about the legal and ethical factors that come into play with your clinical documentation. Have you ever been told that your clinical documentation need more meat, more detail, or more information? This course will help you really understand what the phrase 'Medical Necessity' means, and why it matters so much. Incorporating Medical Necessity into clinical documentation of services for mental health and addictive disorders creates a common nomenclature for clear communication between clinicians, and provides a means of objective assessment informing clinical decision-making.
